The World Poker Tour is making its first stop ever in the Emerald Isle in January of 2012, with Dublin playing host to the inaugural WPT Ireland event.

Ireland has always been a popular poker destination for events such as the Irish Open and the Irish Winter Poker festival but this will mark the first time that the World Poker Tour has held an event in Ireland.
Held at the City West Hotel, WPT Ireland will feature the same successful format used at all WPT stops, featuring a €2,500 main event as well as numerous side events.
WPT Ireland will also incorporate the Irish Poker Championships, which offers up its own €750 IPC main event, so players at WPT Ireland will have a ton of poker action to choose from.
